Rhythm of the Rio Grande
Cast & Crew
Seeking to avenge the murder of a friend, Tex and his sidekick Shorty ride into the gold rich Cinco Valley, arriving in the midst of a raid on the Crane house, which is allegedly being led by Mexican bandit Pablo. After Tex drives the bandits away, Ruth Crane informs him that the settlers of the valley are victims of a campaign of robbery and pillaging perpetrated by the Mexican marauder and his men, but Tex has recognized one of the raiders as Blackie, one of rancher Banister's men. At the Banister ranch, Tex finds an emblem similar to ones found after every raid, and becoming suspicious, he tracks down Pablo's gang and discovers that Pablo is innocent. Suspecting that Banister has been staging the raids in order to drive the settlers from the valley and thus acquire their mining property for pennies, Tex convinces Pablo to help him set a trap for Banister. Before they can spring the trap, however, Tex is arrested for being in league with the bandits, and seeing Tex with the sheriff, Pablo believes that he has been double-crossed. Determined to bring Banister to justice, Tex escapes from jail and races to Pablo's hideout just in time to save him from the barrel of Banister's gun. As the posse arrives in pursuit of Tex, Tex proves that Banister is responsible for the raids, thus exonerating Pablo.
