Synopsis

Light Fingers, a brilliant crook, manages to enter the house of the wealthy Madison family in the guise of a magazine writer, enabling him to steal their jewels. The young Donald Madison, who has just lost on the stock market, attempts to take his father's jewels but is prevented by his sister Dorothy. Light Fingers witnesses all this, but since Dorothy discovers that he too wishes to steal the jewels, they agree not to mention the whole incident. Light Fingers, having fallen in love with Dorothy, decides to go straight, but his gang steals the jewels anyway. Light Fingers retrieves them (intending to return them) but is caught by the police and accused of being the thief. Dorothy comes to his rescue, however, and explains the situation to the police, after which the two go out into the garden to attend to pleasant matters.
