Notes

Honey Britches was the title of the viewed print, which was a video release title. Before the opening credits, a radio announcer states that two robbers have stolen over a million dollars' worth of jewelry and, escaping in a stolen jeep, are driving into the Carolina Mountains with their girl friends. The robbers and their girl friends hear the report on a portable radio while fleeing in the jeep down a country road. The closing credits include the quote "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away." Special thanks is given to Leo and Lucille Barthle; L&L Ranch, Dade City, FL; and Wellington Jewels, Atlanta, GA. Throughout the film, Frank Jones, as the radio show personality "Brother Love," appears preaching directly to the audience, condemning his listeners for their sinful behavior.
Although the film was not copyrighted at the time of its release, a videocassette version was copyrighted in 1986 as Death Farm under the registration number PAu-819-161. The 1986 version, according to a December 31, 1986 Variety article, was a re-edited version of Shantytown Honeymoon, and included additional scenes with actor John Carradine, who also provided a voice-over narration. The copyright record also lists the film as alternately titled Demented Death Farm Massacre. According to a modern source Carradine was featured as the character "The Judge of Hell." Modern sources also list additional titles including Hillybilly Hooker and Moonshiners' Women.
