Synopsis
Russ Dalton, the youngest of the brothers that comprise the Dalton Gang, a band of outlaws that operates in Kansas and Oklahoma toward the end of the nineteenth century, jilts his sweetheart and becomes involved in a feud with one of his brothers over an Indian princess, Nanooni. The tribal warrior, Grey Wolf, decrees that no white man will marry Nanooni. Most of the brothers are killed during their ill-fated, double bank robbery in Coffeyville, Kansas, but Russ, apparently the sole survivor, eventually claims Nanooni.

Notes
The summary above was derived from information in the film's pressbook, which does not contain a complete synopsis. Dalton That Got Away was shot, in English only, in and around Mexico City in mid-August 1957. No reviews of the picture have been located. The film was distributed out of Oklahoma by its U.S. executive producer, Ray E. Pierson, and received a very limited distribution, if any. The film's pressbook misspelled and anglicized the names of some of the cast and crew.
"Russ Dalton," the character portrayed by Michael Connors, appears to be totally fictitious, as does the film's plot. Neither is mentioned in any of the historical accounts of the Dalton Gang. For more information on films about the brothers, please see the record for The Daltons Ride Again in AFI Catalog of Feature Films, 1941-50.
