Synopsis

Several attempts are made on the life of London business tycoon Frank Weyman, and Scotland Yard Inspector Minter and his assistant, Sergeant Bennett, are called in to investigate. The suspects include Fraser, an embittered former employee of Weyman; Elisabeth Gray, Weyman's secretary and fiancée to whom he has willed a substantial inheritance; the estranged Mrs. Weyman; Elliot, a man whose reputation Weyman once destroyed; and Gerry Hamilton, a garageowner who loves Elisabeth. The case is further complicated by the fatal stabbing of Fraser and another attempt on Weyman's life when his motorboat is blown up. Inspector Minter proves that Elisabeth and Gerry, who are secretly married, are guilty.
