Synopsis
After her husband's death, the Countess of Bathory finds herself at the head of a vast fortune and transforms herself into the most powerful woman in early 17th century Hungary, inspiring both admiration and hatred in those around her. Power is not enough to protect her, though, when she falls in love with a young man who abandons her for a much younger woman, driving her to the brink of madness in a desperate pursuit to capture the youth and beauty of her past.
