Synopsis

Marines Horseshoe Donovan and Slats Harrington are loyal friends despite their constant practical jokes and feuding. While stationed on the South Sea island of Taro Pago, their term in the Marines expires, and they get jobs as flying constables on Taro Pago, which is on the brink of civil war. Both of them fall for Marcia Bradford and compete for her attention. At the same time, they fight a plot to make the island a military aviation base. Unaware that Marcia loves neither of them, Horseshoe and Dick take her with them on a pack train and are forced to fight off a native attack until bombing planes arrive. When they reach her destination, Marcia greets her fiancé, an engineer who is conducting land surveys for possible airport bases, and Horseshoe and Dick realize she never cared for either of them. They are decorated for their bravery, however, and resume their friendly feud.
