Synopsis

At the Royal Montmartre, a Paris nightclub, the stars of the revue are Gina, a dancer, and Vidma Valesco's Gypsy Orchestra. Julia, the wife of Nicolas Constanza, a regular patron, is having an affair with philanderer Robert Courier. Gina's partner, Mario, is in love with her and jealous of her many admirers. Charles, the maître d'hôtel, is protective of Gina, and it is later revealed that he is her father. Mario discovers Constanza visiting Gina in her dressing room and throws him out; some time later, Constanza's dead body is found, and Garnier, a detective, initiates an investigation. Interrogations follow, and Mario is charged with the murder. Gina and the orchestra return to their nightly act, and gaiety resumes at the Royal Montmartre.
