Cast & Crew
Fay Leslie, a chorus girl, marries Donald Hampton, scion of an aristocratic New York family, and his mother disinherits him. Donald is reduced to financial straits, and Fay calls on Keith Carlin, an unsuccessful suitor, who agrees to reinstitute for her a former theatrical booking. Donald's uncle, John Clarke, uses this incident to instill suspicion in the mind of Donald. While Donald is at his club, Keith calls upon Fay, and when he tries to force his attentions upon her, she horsewhips him out of her apartment; he vengefully provokes a compromising situation for Donald's benefit. Clarke refuses to assist her; and to teach him a lesson, she skillfully creates a similar situation in his own home, obliging him to defend her cause. Donald forces a confession from Keith, and the Hampton family receives Fay with open arms.
