Synopsis
Elmer Peck, a street cleaner who loves Annie, salesgirl in a five-and-ten-cent store, inherits a large fortune from an eccentric uncle. In a special provision, the uncle requests that the fortune revert to Briggs, his faithful servant, in the event that Peck dies without marrying. Briggs shanghais Peck to prevent his marriage to Annie, but she thwarts Briggs by slipping aboard as a crewman, then rescues Peck with the aid of the Coast Guard.
