Synopsis
While concentrating his attentions on stenographer Jean Benton, roué Henry Lord allows his "regular," Lucy Bishop, to get Jean's weak brother, Tony, to forge checks to cover his racing debts. Lord is murdered during an affair at a country lodge, circumstantial evidence points to Jean, but Arthur Rowland takes the blame. During Arthur's trial it is revealed that Lord was actually shot by the discarded Lucy.
