William J. Craft
Bill, the fun-loving nephew of wealthy cattleman Pete Perry, continually irritates his uncle with boyish pranks, mostly inspired by his expertise with the Australian bullwhip he carries in place of a gun. Bill's cousin, Jack Perry, the second heir to Perry's wealth, pretends to be the boy's pal though he is actually "Poncho," a notorious bandit, and plans Bill's ultimate downfall. With his henchman, Pedro, Jack robs his uncle's payroll, and in his escape his car collides with the Pinkebys--a magician and his daughter, Mary, a violinist. The boys become rivals for Mary; but when Jack plants suspicion about Bill in the sheriff's mind, and Mary identifies Bill as "Poncho" during a bank holdup, he is arrested after being captured by the bandits. Bill escapes, however, discovers that Jack is the villain, and turns him over to the law. Bill is reconciled to his uncle and united with Mary.
