Synopsis
Cora Nevins, a classy dame, is visiting the stokehole of an ocean liner when Captain Lash, the boss of the black gang, saves her from being badly burned after a steam valve is broken by a crazed stoker. Cora and Lash are attracted to each other, and she persuades him to take ashore several diamonds recently stolen from a wealthy jewel collector traveling on the liner. Lash meets Cora at her home only to discover that his friend, Cocky, has substituted lumps of coal for the stolen gems; Lash is set upon by Cora's henchmen, but he proves to be too much for them. The police arrest the gang; Cocky returns the stolen jewels; and Lash returns to his waterfront sweetheart.
