Synopsis
Documentary on breast cancer featuring a series of interviews with survivors and their families. Director and host Lee Grant speaks with support groups, doctors and activists whose lives are dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. Highlights include an interview with Rosie O'Donnell, who speaks candidly about her mother's death from cancer; a video journal from diagnosis to post-mastectomy recovery of a young mother; a conversation with five women who reveal the emotional toll the disease has on a family; and a profile of Mary Kay Sanders, a former Mrs. Minnesota International, who was diagnosed with a particularly virulent form of the disease and has only a 20% chance of survival, she is now educating young women about prevention and early detection.
