Synopsis
Maggie Keenan, the star comedienne in the Follies, accidentally falls into the orchestra pit and breaks Al Cassidy's drum. They fall in love, and Al writes a production number for her that makes him famous. They are married and settle happily into domesticity: Al writes songs and Maggie bears children. Al is called to Atlantic City to write a production number for Selma Larson, a beautiful star in the Follies, and he succumbs to her charms. Maggie learns of Al's infidelity, but, when he returns home repentant, she refuses to hear his contrite confession. They resume life together, and Al's indiscretion is never mentioned.
