Actress Alice Hirson appeared on some of the most renowned television shows of the late 20th century, and has continued to regularly land roles afterwards. Hirson got her start in the 1970s with spots on several popular soap operas of the era, including the role of Stephanie Martin on "The Edge of Night," Marsha Davis on "Somerset," and Eileen Riley Siegel on "One Life to Live." Hirson would go on to appear in one of the most popular television dramas of the 1980s, "Dallas" (a total of 26 episodes from 1982 through 1988, as Mavis Anderson), and in the 1990s, played the mother of Ellen DeGeneres's character on "Ellen." Throughout the years, Hirson has racked up countless one-off or short-term appearances on renowned shows ("The Waltons," "Maude," "Taxi," "Quincy M.E.," "Barney Miller," "ER," "NYPD Blue," "Just Shoot Me!," etc.), as well as movie roles ("Revenge of the Nerds," "The Big Picture," etc.).
