Alistair Cooke worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Cooke worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Omnibus" (CBS, 1952-1961), "Pere Goriot" (PBS, 1970-71) and "The First Churchills" (PBS, 1970-71). He also contributed to "The Possessed" (PBS, 1970-71), "The Spoils of Poynton" (PBS, 1970-71) and "The Three Faces of Eve"...

Alistair Cooke worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Cooke worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Omnibus" (CBS, 1952-1961), "Pere Goriot" (PBS, 1970-71) and "The First Churchills" (PBS, 1970-71). He also contributed to "The Possessed" (PBS, 1970-71), "The Spoils of Poynton" (PBS, 1970-71) and "The Three Faces of Eve" (1957). Cooke was nominated for a Best M.C. or Program Host - Male or Female Primetime Emmy Award in 1956. In the eighties, Cooke devoted his time to various credits, such as "Pride and Prejudice" (PBS, 1980-81), "The Flame Trees of Thika" (PBS, 1981-82) and "On Approval" (PBS, 1982-83). He also worked on "The Good Soldier" (PBS, 1982-83). Cooke had a number of different projects under his belt in the eighties, including "Talking Heads: Bed Among the Lentils" (PBS, 1988-89), "The Bretts II" (PBS, 1988-89) and "The Charmer" (PBS, 1988-89). His credits also expanded to "The Congress" (PBS, 1988-89) and "And a Nightingale Sang" (PBS, 1989-1990). Cooke last appeared on "James Thurber: The Life and Hard Times" (PBS, 1999-2000). Cooke passed away in March 2004 at the age of 96.
