Biography
Mario Gallo was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1908, he directed the first Argentine narrative film, "El Fusillamiento de Dorrego." Gallo began his acting career with roles in such films as the dramatic musical "Too Late Blues" (1961) with Bobby Darin, "A Child Is Waiting" (1962) with Burt Lancaster and "The Laughing Policeman" (1973) with Walter Matthau. He also appeared in the Paul Le Mat dramatic adventure "Aloha, Bobby And Rose" (1975). Gallo not only lent his acting skills to the entertainment world. He also helped produce the dramatic adaptation "Death in Venice" (1971) with Dirk Bogarde and the Ivo Garrani historical drama "Bronte" (1972). Gallo was also credited in "Capone" (1975) starring Ben Gazzara, "Cuore Di Cane" with Max von Sydow (1975) and "King Kong" with Jeff Bridges (1976). Gallo was most recently credited in the comedy "Quattro Figli Unici" (1992) with Mariella Valentini. Gallo passed away in May 1945 at the age of 67.
