In the early stages of his acting career, Davies starred in action films like "Up From the Beach" (1965) starring Cliff Robertson and "Convoy" (1978). He also appeared in the TV movie "The Deerslayer" (NBC, 1978-79). He also was featured in the miniseries "The Dain Curse" (1977-78). He kept working in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, starring in "American Gigolo" (1980) with Richard Gere, "Masquerade" (1988) with Meg Tilly and "The House on Carroll Street" (1988). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "The Age of Innocence" (1993) with Daniel Day-Lewis. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). Recently, he tackled roles in the comedy "Man of the Century" (1999) with Gibson Frazier and "Mickey Blue Eyes" (1999) with Hugh Grant. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Stargate SG-1" (1997-2006). Davies most recently worked on "Intimate Portrait: Erika Slezak" (Lifetime, 2002-03).
