Biography
Jim Lampley worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. He also appeared in the TV movie "Challenge of a Lifetime" (ABC, 1984-85). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "New York City Marathon" (1985-86), "The 70th Indianapolis 500" (ABC, 1985-86) and "World Championship Boxing: Mike Tyson vs Frank Bruno" (HBO, 1988-89). Lampley worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "CBS This Morning" (CBS, 1987-1996). In the nineties, Lampley devoted his time to various credits, such as "Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel (10/31/95)" (HBO, 1995-96), "The Single Guy" (NBC, 1995-97) and "Welcome to Hollywood" with Adam Rifkin (1998). He also worked on "Play It to the Bone" (1999). He spent the early 2000s tackling film roles in "Undisputed" (2002), "L.A. Riot Spectacular" (2006) and "Rocky Balboa" (2006) with Sylvester Stallone. He also appeared in the Will Ferrell blockbuster comedic sports movie "Blades of Glory" (2007) and the comedy adventure "Balls of Fury" (2007) with Dan Fogler. Lampley most recently acted in "Southpaw" (2015).
