Robert Viharo was an actor who graced the silver screen many times throughout his Hollywood career. Viharo's acting career began mostly with his roles in various films, such as the dramatic adaptation "Valley of the Dolls" (1967) with Barbara Parkins, "Villa Rides" (1968) and the action film "Return to Macon County" (1975) with Nick Nolte. He also appeared in the drama "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden" (1977) with Bibi Andersson and "Over-Under, Sideways-Down" (1977). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "The Survivors" (ABC, 1969-1970). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the seventies and the eighties, appearing in "Bare Knuckles" (1978), the Richard Crenna horror feature "The Evil" (1978) and the Madeline Kahn comedy adaptation "Happy Birthday, Gemini" (1980). He also appeared in "Hide in Plain Sight" (1980). He also landed a role in the miniseries "Evita Peron" (1980-81). He also appeared in the TV special "Seguin" (PBS, 1981-82). Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the Charles Napier thriller "The Night Stalker" (1987), the Raul Julia biopic "Romero" (1989) and "Coldfire" (1990) with Wings Hauser. He also appeared in the Edwin Johnson drama "Stroke" (2000). Most recently, Viharo acted in "Attitude" (2003).
