Biography
Melanie Shatner was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Shatner began her acting career appearing mainly in films, such as the William Shatner action movie "Star Trek V: the Final Frontier" (1989), the sci-fi motion picture "Syngenor" (1990) with Starr Andreeff and "The First Power" (1990) with Lou Diamond Phillips. She also appeared in the TV movie "Camp Cucamonga" (NBC, 1990-91). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Sisters" (1990-96). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties, appearing in the Frank Finlay horror movie "Cthulhu Mansion" (1992), the Anders Hove horror sequel "Bloodlust: Subspecies III" (1993) and the Anders Hove horror sequel "Bloodstone: Subspecies II" (1993). She also was featured in the TV movies "The Alien Within" (1994-95), "Their Second Chance" (Lifetime, 1996-97) and "His Bodyguard" (USA, 1997-98). Most recently, Shatner acted on "Mercy Point" (UPN, 1998-99).
