Biography

Joe Piscopo's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of his Hollywood career. He had a part on the television special "Battle of the Network Stars XII" (ABC, 1981-82). He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for "Saturday Night Live" in 1984. This recognition propelled him to pursue a role in "Wise Guys" (1986). His film career continued throughout the eighties and the nineties in productions like "Dead Heat" (1988), the action flick "Sidekicks" (1993) with Chuck Norris and "Huck and the King of Hearts" (1994). He also appeared in the Martin Sheen action picture "Captain Nuke and the Bomber Boys" (1995). Recently, he continued to act in the Nicole Eggert comedy "Dead Lenny" (2006), the T.R. Knight dramedy "The Last Request" (2008) and "How Sweet it Is" (2013) with Paul Sorvino. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Apprentice" (NBC, 2003-). Piscopo most recently appeared in "Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special" (NBC, 2014-15). Piscopo was married to Kimberly Driscoll and had four children.
