Biography
Paul Mooney worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Mooney worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Brewster's Millions" (1985), "Bustin' Loose" (1981) and "FTA" (1972). He also contributed to "Richard Pryor Live on the Sunset Strip" with Richard Pryor (1982), "Saturday Night Live" (NBC, 1975-) and "The Buddy Holly Story" (1978) starring Gary Busey. He continued to act in productions like the Joan Plowright comedy "Drowning By Numbers" (1991), the documentary "Sandra Bernhard: Confessions of a Pretty Lady" (1993) with Sandra Bernhard and "In the Army Now" (1994). He also appeared in the Damon Wayans dramedy "Bamboozled" (2000). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "The Old Settler" (PBS, 2000-01) and "Well, Shut Ma' Mouth! The Powerful History of Black Humor" (2001-02). Mooney most recently appeared in "Paul Mooney: The Godfather of Comedy" (Showtime, 2011-12).
