Armored Car Robbery (1950) - At The Ballpark Little noted at the time but much praised in retrospect, director Richard Fleischer opens with cops Cordell and Phillips (Charles McGraw, James Flavin) racing to the old L-A Wrigley Field, where they don't realize crook Purvus (William Talman) is timing them, in Amored Car Robbery, 1951.
Double Dynamite (1951) - On $42.50 A Week Opening introduces Jane Russell as bank teller Mildred and Don McGuire as Bob, the annoying son of the big boss, then Frank Sinatra as fellow teller (and her fianceè) Johnny, getting nowhere seeking a raise from the manager (Harry Hayden), in RKO’s Double Dynamite, 1951, also starring Groucho Marx.
Nora Prentiss (1947) - There's A Certain Dignity San Francisco Dr. Talbott (Kent Smith), established as an upright family man and model professional, rebukes his partner in practice (Bruce Bennett) then, working late, meets Ann Sheridan, the title character, quite by chance, in Vincent Sherman’s Nora Prentiss, 1947.
Threat, The (1949) - We Need Gas Escaped killer Kluger (Charles McGraw) is inside the truck, with his hostages, on whom he plots revenge, tied up in a sedan, so his man Lefty (Frank Richards) and hijacked trucker Turner (Don McGuire) are the front-men, encountering cop Kenneth Patterson and grease monkey Peter Duchow, in The Threat, 1949.
Armored Car Robbery (1950) - When You Kill A Cop Cops Cordell (Charles McGraw) and Ryan (Don McGuire) are just settling in to watch the stripper and gang moll they plan to interview, when Mapes (Steve Brodie), from the heist gang shows up, bare knuckle interrogation following, in Richard Fleischer's Armored Car Robbery, 1950.
Armored Car Robbery (1950) - Awake For A Year L-A cops Cordell (Charles McGraw) and Ryan (Don McGuire) frustrated that their dragnet hasn't caught the perps, quite impervious to caffeine, have only scorn for the insurance rep (Max Mellinger), in Richard Fleischer's heist-Noir, Armored Car Robbery, 1950.
3 Ring Circus (1954) - Dig That Crazy Sawdust Out of the Army on the G-I Bill, Dean Martin as Pete is broke and tagging along with Jerry Lewis as “Jerome,” who has a gig as an apprentice lion tamer at a circus, meeting Zsa Zsa Gabor briefly, and getting in trouble, in the Paramount vehicle 3 Ring Circus, 1955.
3 Ring Circus (1954) - Colonel Fritz Schlitz Jerry Lewis is de-mobbed Army private “Jerome,” an aspiring circus clown, who took a gig as an apprentice lion tamer because it was the only G-I Bill opening at the circus, reporting here to lion tamer Schlitz (Sig Ruman), in the Paramount Martin And Lewis vehicle 3 Ring Circus, 1953.
Pride Of The Marines (1945) - Destination Was Guadalcanal From Albert Maltz's Academy Award-nominated script, girlfriend Ruth (Eleanor Parker) narrating, Al (John Garfield) taking over, as he arrives in the Pacific, meeting Irish (Don McGuire), Rivers (Anthony Caruso) and Diamond (Dane Clark) in the jungle, in the bio-pic Pride Of The Marines, 1945.
