Biography
Sal Lopez was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Lopez appeared in such films as the Eddie Deezen comedic adventure "Million Dollar Mystery" (1987), the Matthew Modine action flick "Full Metal Jacket" (1987) and the Cheech Marin comedy adventure "Born in East L.A." (1987). He also appeared in the Jon Gries comedy "Pucker Up and Bark Like a Dog" (1989), the action picture "Down the Drain" (1990) with Andrew Stevens and "Cartel" (1990). He kept working in film throughout the nineties, starring in the period drama "...And the Earth Did Not Swallow Him" (1995) with Jose Alcala, "Selena" (1997) and the Jack Lemmon comedy "Out to Sea" (1997). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Paparazzi" (2004), the Chris Cooper mystery "Silver City" (2004) and the dramedy "The Astronaut Farmer" (2007) with Billy Bob Thornton. He also appeared in the drama "American Son" (2008) with Nick Cannon and "The Onion Movie" (2008) with Brendan Fletcher. Most recently, Lopez acted in the action film "Road to Juarez" (2015) with William Forsythe.
