Mel Lewis worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Lewis marked his early career with roles in the dramatic adaptation "Kings Go Forth" (1958) with Frank Sinatra and "At the Top" (PBS, 1974-75). Lewis also appeared in "The House I Live In" (PBS, 1989-1990), "Legion of the Dead" and "Battle Planet" (Syfy, 2008-09). More recently, Lewis composed for the Mark Colson thriller "Passed the Door of Darkness" (2010).
