Biography
The daughter of an Olympic ski jumper and an actresss, Katherine Kelly Lang was born in Hollywood, California and graduated from Hollywood High School. Her acting career began in 1979, when she was offered a part in the movie "Skatetown, U.S.A" a comedy featuring Patrick Swayze and Ruth Buzzi, based on the 70s fad of roller disco. Following her appearance in that film, Lang was featured in a number of different television series, including "The Powers of Matthew Star"(NBC 1982-83), "Happy Days" (ABC 1974-1984), and "The Fall Guy"(ABC 1981-86). In 1987, Lang joined the cast of "The Bold and the Beautiful" (CBS 1987- ) as blue-collar beauty Brooke Logan. Her character was a key piece of the show's plotting from its very beginning, and in particular, her romance with the character Ridge Forrester was a staple of the show's storylines for over 20 years. In addition to her appearance on "The Bold and the Beautiful," Lang played Brooke Logan on that program's sister show "The Young and the Restless" (CBS 1973- ).
