Kober's film career started with such writing credits as "Guilty As Hell" (1932), "Make Me a Star" (1932) with Stuart Erwin and "Me and My Gal" (1932). He also appeared in "Broadway Bad" (1933). During the latter part of his career, Kober wrote "Wintertime" (1943), the romance "In the Meantime, Darling" (1944) with Jeanne Crain and the comedy "Don Juan Quilligan" (1945) with William Bendix. Kober more recently worked on the Melvyn Douglas drama "My Own True Love" (1949).
