Soprano Renée Fleming’s luminous sound and brilliant stage
presence have made her one of the world’s most beloved
and recognized figures in the worlds of opera and jazz.
Her busy 2007-08 schedule includes appearances at New
York’s Metropolitan Opera, Chicago’s Lyric Opera and the
Vienna State Opera in such vehicles as La traviata, Otello and
a new production of Strauss’s Capriccio. Fleming, born in
Indiana, Pennsylvania, holds degrees from the State University
of New York at Potsdam and the Eastman School of Music
and is the winner of numerous distinguished honors including
two Grammy Awards®.
