This is my all time favorite western. All of the characters are perfect along with the ending. The movie score, written by Alfred Newman and shared with the 1940 movie Brigham Young, is also one of my favorites. Yellow Sky came out the same time as Sierra Madre and never got the credit it was due.

I SAW YELLOW SKY YESTERDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME. WHERE HAS IT BEEN ALL MY LIFE ? ABSOLUTE GEM. GREAT CHARACTERS AND GREAT CHARACTER ACTORS. RICH IN DIALOGUE AND ATMOSPHERE. RICHARD WIDMARK AT HIS SNEERING BEST.

Very entertaining western with the consistently wonderful Gregory Peck, feisty, but alluriing Anne Baxter, and always sturdy Richard Widmark. Good story and strong support from John Russell andHarry Morgan and, of course, tough Bill Wellman at the directorial helm. Good entertainment!
Gregory Peck getting decked by such a feisty girl? Fantastic!
A rare gem of a movie!

This western has adventure, romance, passion, and a very heartwarming ending. The stars, Gregory Peck and Anne Baxter, have great chemistry and their acting is just wonderful. Anne Baxter is feisty and really shines in this movie. Although the movie is over half a century old, it is nonetheless very entertaining and delivers on all fronts.
one of best westerns made.......
please schedule asap ...........
One of my absolute favorites.
Cannot understand why it isn't available. I'd buy it the very day it came out. I love this movie.
Yellow Sky has been missing from the public eye. Why? This movie is a classic western with great action, great sound effects, a great b/w film, plus great actors. What more do you want in a good movie? RJ in Oklahoma City.
