Secret agent Charles Vine saves England from disaster by disguising himself as a woman and eliminating enemy agents bent on launching a guided missile against the Houses of Parliament. His next assignment is to prevent a spy ring from stealing a sample of Spurium, a lightweight metal alloy used to build nuclear-powered aircraft. Under the leadership of Angel, a Russian agent, the spy organization hijacks a plane made of Spurium, but the Royal Air Force shoots it down over the English Channel. Quick to change his tactics, Angel has Vine abducted and drugged into revealing the location of the Spurium factory. Angel is thwarted once again when his henchman Seraph, after obtaining a sample of the precious metal, is blown up by the Russians, who mistakenly believe they are being double-crossed. Meanwhile, Vine escapes his captors and recovers the Spurium sample. Angel, furious with the Russians, hijacks a plane for the Chinese, but Vine boards the aircraft as it takes off from the landing field. In the ensuing battle Vine kills his opponents but is left alone in a plane he cannot pilot. Fortunately, Women's Royal Air Force officer "Fiz" Moonlight, an old girl friend, is nearby in a helicopter; she lowers herself into Vine's plane, switches the controls to automatic, and makes love with him.
