Marjoe Gortner plays a drug dealer whose car breaks down in a small U.S. town. In turn, the town's people become victim to his unique brand of physical and mental torture.

When the new highway bypassed Foster's Diner, the rest stop lost most of its business. One day the staff has the monotony broken when two couples arrive. But one of customers is an unbalanced Vietnam veteran who turns violent and holds everyone in the place hostage.
