FMC shows some Grable films but there are some elusive titles such as this one from 1948. Always a pleasure to watch this lady even though the hairdo wasn't too attractive. Her rendition (vocal) of "By The Way" is excellent and acting fine too in this one. Hope it turns up soon in a further collection. Great support from Mr. Dailey, June Havoc & the great Jack Oakie.

TCM seems not to have access to some Fox films. There have to be prints of this somewhere, I used to see it on TV in New York all the time in the 1960's, along with a number of other Betty Grable/Dan Dailey flicks. Maybe someone from TCM can shed some light on this.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE 1948 GRABLE-DAILY-HAVOC MUSICAL, "WHEN MY BABY SMILES AT ME?"Does a print still exist? Who owns it?Can it be found, restored (in glorious Technicolor(c), and released on DVD?It took years and delving into vaults in Czechoslovakia to locate "Makin' Whooppee!"When are we going to get the full film legacy of leggy Miss Grable?P.S. I bet her real date of birth was 1913, not 1916. She had to have been 16, not 14, when she made "Whooppee" in 1929.
