Members of a college senior class, led by Rudy Bronson, form an orchestra and embark on a search for Ted Grant, an impresario with whom Rudy has studied by mail. They invade his fashionable Long Island home to play for him; and Mrs. Whitehall and her niece, Jean, notify Officer Tuttle. Whereupon, Rudy claims to be Grant, who is away; as a result Mrs. Whitehall engages his orchestra for a musicale, and Rudy falls in love with Jean. On the evening of the benefit, however, Jean discovers the impersonation and denounces Rudy; but the band is a sensational hit, and Grant arrives in time to prevent an arrest. Rudy is hailed as a great discovery, thus winning both success and the girl.
