A psychotic who hates his mother, kidnaps his niece and hides out for days with the dead body of his father's mistress. He then rapes his sister after killing her husband but then feels a fleeting moment of remorse and contemplates suicide.

After abducting his young niece Terry, Bucky Gagnon finds refuge at the home of sympathetic Sally Dunning, his father's former girl friend. While in hiding, Bucky recalls his strained relationship with his parents and the marriage of his beloved sister Lorry to Jim Wisiewski, a fellow musician. Unknown to Bucky, Lorry has died. Although the police suggest that Jim is responsible for his daughter's abduction, Mrs. Gagnon discounts this theory. Informed by his mother of his sister's death, Bucky remembers forcing himself on Lorry and their subsequent incest beside a lake and speculates about Terry's paternity. Following an altercation with his mother, Bucky leaves Terry in an abandoned automobile; the next morning he is found hanging from a tree beside the lake.
