Joanne Wodward's best ! She is so adorable playing Eve Black. She did deserve the oscar.Such a amazing story and love the fact that she was in the movie "Sybil" later as Sybil's doctor.

Woodward's performance as multiple women inhabitting the same body is something that needs to be seen to fully appreciate her performance. Cobb is suprisingly terrific as a patient psychiatrist trying to understand & help Woodward. The story is good, however it is also flat and has something missing from making it a great film. Woodward is probably the sole reason to see this movie. I give it a 3/5.

Joanne Woodward gives a powerful, but I'm not sure Oscar worthy performance, but she's certainly good enough to keep you watching the film. Very simply made, almost too much so at times. Good story though, well acted by David Wayne as her husband.

This is a great, but very disturbing movie. Basically, it deals with a woman, Joanne Woodward, who doesn't understand what is happening to her, and her husband, played by David Wayne, as obviously of poor education, but a decent man, who is utterly unable to cope with the situation. It should make us all have sympathy for people and situations we do not understand. Of course, Joanne Woodward is lovely, and Lee J. Cobb, one of my favourite character actors, gives his usual solid performance. A top-notch classic movie all the way.
