    Very good swashbuckler.

I saw this movie when I was in college, and thought it a great movie. It was full of adventure, romance, intrigue, good sword fighting, all one could wish for in a movie of this genre. I reiterate: why is it so difficult to find? Even Turner Classic Movies does not seem to have it in their repertoire, as there is no material available on it! SOMEONE BRING IT OUT ON DVD!

I would rank this movie in the top ten of swashbuckler movies and second of the Granger movies behind only Scaramouche. the swordplay is excellent though not enough of it. there shold have been an ending duel other than a horse race. the costumes were awesome. The plot a bit thin and the sets a little off but other than that I continually watch this over and over having captured it on VHS long ago. When dvd's get to the point where you can put more than one movie on them I will spend my retirement reloading my vhs library onto dvd.
