A film that effortlessly combines horror with beauty; in the words of Eli Roth "He put the 'gore' in 'gorgeous.'" Harper is a ballet student who after a former student is gruesomely murdered, is dragged into the mysteries of her school, Bennett's final film. Story and character development take second fiddle to the sumptuous colours and Goblin's soundtrack that director Argento uses to create a psychedelic trip of terror. This is a colourful, terrifying punk horror film, and one of the last to be shot using three-strip technicolour. I give it a 4/5.

Suspiria is a good film about witchcraft. Death scenes are trimmed down fron the un rated version (98min) on dvd. R rated runs 92 mins. Jessica Harper is a american in a German ballet school run by Helena Marcos (A black queen Witch). This film is a dark version of Snow White for adults. The colors, music and vibrant use of images make this a beautiful nightmare. thank you TCM for playing my suggestion!! Plese play MORE Dario Argento's fine cinema films!!!!
