This film's working title was Cross-Up. A November 4, 1956 New York Times article reported that the film was shooting on location at Second Avenue and Fourth Street in New York City and in the Bronx, as well as at the Biltmore Studios. Actor Joey Fay was normally billed as Joey Faye. Although Marilee Earle had previously acted in the 1956 release Hot Cars, Street of Sinners marked her first starring role.
