Fine Western
- Larry

Fine clearly drawn plot and characters. The story is someplace between The traditional cowboy/Indian western and the truth. The settlers and the Army certainly were devious, greedy, brutal; the Indians were brutal, savage, intelligent, devious and greedy. In short there was plenty of blame to go around. That entire history is almost unbearably sad, perhaps even tragic; certainly shameful.

The Last True Americans

I really enjoyed this movie or I should say sadened by it.The Native Americans only wanted to live in a peaceful existence, but the greed of the federal government overpowered that thought.I weep each time I study the plight of the Native American. I would like to see TCM show this movie often.I only wish it was out on DVD.
