When Janet Allison returns home from the East, she is witness to a robbery at the train station and meets the suave robber, Art Holden, who is also known as "Silverspurs." She takes an instant dislike to Jim Fentriss, the foreman of her father's ranch, the Two Diamond, because he is late picking her up, and because he insists on taking a circuitous route to the ranch to protect her from Holden's gang. After her reunion with her father Webb, Janet's friend Peggy arrives for a visit. In addition, Webb's old friend, Drag Harlan, comes on a secret mission from the governor to apprehend Holden and his gang. After a couple of weeks, Peggy has fallen in love with one of the ranch hands, and Jim argues with the Yuma Kid, another ranch hand, because of his alliance with Durango, who works with the Holden gang. When Peggy goes to a cabin for a rendezvous with her lover, she is assaulted by Durango, but Jim rescues her, believing her to be Janet. Later, Durango is found dead and Jim is the prime suspect. Before Peggy returns home, she tells Jim she was in the cabin, not Janet, and Jim and Janet finally become friends. Holden kidnaps Janet, hoping to lure Jim to his gang's cabin. When the Kid finds out that Holden is planning to kill Jim, who is really the Kid's brother, he threatens Holden. Eventually Holden tricks the Kid into believing he does not intend to harm Jim, then Holden shoots the Kid in the back. Jim takes the gang by surprise and kills Holden, while the rest of the ranch hands shoot it out with the gang and rescue Janet. After the gang is quelled, Drag reveals that it was he who shot Durango, thereby freeing Jim to pursue his romance with Janet.
