Fun little movie
This was a breezy look at 1950s college life, but overall, a fun little movie. I adored Reagan.
Ronald Reagan is to fine acting as George W. Bush is to intelligent elocution. In other words: LOL
The cast all did a good job but Gene Nelson is often not given enough credit for his great dancing and singing talent. His scene in the Gym was great. I am surprised he does not receive more press for all he could do.
Adorable, Uplifting and Fun Movie
I first saw this movie as a little girl and loved it then, and love it now. It is a perfect pick-me-up and delightful to watch thanks to a cute plot, clearly defined characters (with a few caricatures!) and the sense of humor that runs through the main plot, the music and the songs. The colors and musical numbers jump off the screen and make you want to sing along and applaud; Virginia Mayo's and Gene Nelson's dance routine in the classroom on the desks and Gene Nelson's gym routine are amazing to watch and remind one of Gene Kelly's and Fred Astaire's clever routines. Purely joyful representation of a happy '50s musical with the lovely Virginia Mayo, endearing Ronald Reagan, handsome Gene Nelson and properly vicious Patrice Wymore.
Horrible, horrible movie
- Mr. Blandings
The first fifteen minutes alone of this movie are so offensive, on every level, that I don't know quite what else to say ... except * out of *****
Delightful, fun musical movie.
A highly underated musical filled with cast members you will remember from other musicals. The very talented Virginia Mayo stars and is beautiful as ever. Ronald Regan never looked better. All in all a thoroughly charming movie.
