I saw part of this film a year or two ago. I've been hoping you would show it again. Thank you so much for airing this wonderful film noir classic again. I love, love, love this type of film. I love Edmund O'Brien in this film, as well as the story itself, and the use of Hoover Dam. How exciting! Thank you, TCM. Please keep showing these wonderful old "crime doesn't pay" films of the film noir type. Wow!

This is one of my favorite film noir films, in fact this is my favorite!...Edmond O'Brien is simply superb, Otto Kruger, Dorothy Patrick, Sammy White, Joanne Dru and Richard Anderson round out a equally superb supporting cast!...You don't want to miss this one...it's by far one of the 50's film noir greats!

Just finished watching this awesome movie - I love old Hollywood Gangster Movies.Edmond O'Brien gives a powerful performance.

No question, this film is way ahead of it's time. With great sets,LA circa 1950,and beautifully dressed actors nothing from 1950 can exceed this productions value.A must see! The 1949 Cadillac really steals some scenes from Edmond O'Brian but he really acts the part of a small time guy getting to the top.

Edmond O'Brien performs in his classic laid back way. The movie is predictable at times but it constantly keeps the viewers attention. It is a great history lesson for the "cell phone era". I would watch this movie more than once a year, if for no other reason than because it shows great background footable and the old crime doesn't pay theme.
