What a tragedy that this film is not available on DVD, or apparently anywhere else! How has this outstanding movie been overlooked?

Why is this great movie so invisible? It's such a terrific movie, on so many levels, it should have won a multitude of Oscars. I'm surprised that it can't be found on DVD, or apparently anywhere else. A great script, magnificent performances and directing, wonderful scenery, and so much more.

  • A Very Good Movie

One of the greats! This couple are so real. I wonder why a remake hasn't happened yet. With the incredible music and story line it is timeless!

  • Great Romantic Movie

Joan Fontaine and Joseph Cotten are excellent as the couple who steal a few precious months together in romantic Italy. The story is so fine and the music is exhilirating.
