Opened in Paris in August 1966 as Surcouf, le tigre des sept mers; in Italy as Surcouf l'eroe dei sette mari; in Madrid in December 1967 as El tigre de los siete mares; running time: 98 min. One U. S. source indicates that the film is composed of footage from Surcouf, le dernier corsaire and Le retour de Surcouf, both produced in France in 1965. Also included is footage from Son of Captain Blood, q. v. French working title: Tonnerre sur l'Ocan Indien. Roy Rowland is credited as director in some U. S. sources.
