I absolutely love this movie !! It is very emotionally sentimental in many ways ! Debbie Reynolds and Robert Wagner in their prime are fantastic together ! Catchy score beautiful cinematography and a Christmas theme !!when I was a young musician I saw the piano vocal score for this movie which I should've purchased as I've never run across it sound when I was a young musician I saw the piano vocal score for this movie which I should've purchased as I've never run across it since

How can you not love a Christmas themed movie starring Bing Crosby. Debbie Reynolds is very cute and I always think Ray Walston is wonderful. Frank McHugh is charming and a very young and handsome Robert Wagner. I remember watching this as a child and loving the music. The Christmas song is really especially beautiful.

The days of hit Bing Crosby recordings had come and gone when this movie was made. However, I, personally, think that the song, "I Couldn't Care Less" featured in "Say One For Me" was one of the greatest songs ever written for him. His voice was in wonderful shape. Debbie Reynolds and Robert Wagner were a dynamic duo and were never better!!! Had the movie been made ten years earlier, it would have been a fantastic box office hit.

This is one of the films Bing Crosby made for Fox around this time, "High Time" by Blake Edwards being another. The strategy was to pair Bing with considerably younger co-stars to broaden the audience, and it worked. Director Frank Tahlin was noted for being splashy and colorful (as in the immortal "The Girl Can't Help It!"), but here manages some touching sentimental moments as well. Bing is a priest in New York's theater district, whose flock includes Debbie Reynolds as an aspiring performer and Robert Wagner as a self-involved heel. Both are given the opportunity to show a dramatic side, particularly Debbie, whose performances here and in "The Rat Race" with Tony Curtis the same year must have earned her new respect within the industry. Also on hand is Ray Walston as a burned-out songwriter-turned-accompanist who has lost his will to follow his dream. Bing helps shepherd them all through their personal crises, even getting to sing a Christmas song in the process. I saw this as a kid and loved it, so I was thrilled when Fox Movie Channel started showing it recently

Such a heart touching movie with a very good message in it. The Christmas Song that Bing sings rings so true with life. Wish I heard the song played during the holidays, but have only heard it in the movie. Great movie!
