Fun For All
Dump, stupid story that delights. Strong cast and good pace wins. Flynn is flat good and Olivia and Connolly shine.
Like a sandwich...

stale and hammy. To me, this is a so-so. I do like all the actors but DeHavilland is not a comedic actress...she just doesn't cut it and all the slapstick oopsies got old. To each her own.
Fours a Crowd goof
This movie is great fun and shows that Errol Flynn has a very strong comedic side. Pity that Warners kept him as a swashbuckler and didn't allow him to do more dramatic or comedic roles. He even had a flair for singing and dancing in his bit in "Thank Your Lucky Stars." Flynn and de Havilland have great chemistry in this screwball comedy. One goof I noticed is at the very end of the film when Flynn and de Havilland switch partners. Olivia moves over to Patrick Knowles and says "Bye Errol" instead of using Flynn's character's name, Bob.
First Class Romantic Comedy

A-1 Presentation of this delight with a terrific cast. Flynn surprisingly good in comedic role.
Errol Flynn Should Gave Been in More Comedies
I love this movie. Casting was perfect. It always amazed me that Warner Bros only cast Errol Flynn is aa few Comedies. Granted his adventure films were great, but he really was wonderful in comediess - facial expressions, physical actions, etc were perfect for this genre.
