Wonderful film about life.

Any movie Joanne Woodward is in, I love. She is just a phenomenal actress and I always become captivated watching her use the most of her character....actresses don't exist in Hollywood anymore that are of the likes of Woodward. This is a wonderful movie about life, but there are some odd parts not suitable for kids, unless their teenagers, then I think it's a great way to discuss with them the rough times of life and that it doesn't always present us with the most ideal circumstances. Rachel is the kind of person you want to befriend, she's loyal and calm and sorely missed in this world.

An interesting film. Far, far more than just a teacher trying to over come shyness. Really shows some of the depth of Joanne Woodward. She has a similar cackle to her husband-director Paul Newman that many may not catch (Rachael and Hector - prior to her asking where the embalming is done.) Its a deep film in many ways. Be aware - some parts may be bothering for some people. As noted afore, its far more than just shyness - which truly not a representative description. Quantitative perhaps. It is an adult based movie, for a proper mature audience despite the time period difference's of then and now. They really captured the tonality of realism.
