  • As Good a Spy Movie as You Will Ever See

    Brilliant, sardonic, evocative Harold Pinter adaptation of Adam Hall (pseudonym) neo-Nazi thriller, set in Berlin. Haunting John Barry score; Segal (surprise casting) has never been better; Alec Guinness and von Sydow are letter perfect. TCM, after years of absence and one cancelled false start, finally shows it (bless them), but only in 4:3; original wide-screen format is desperately needed.
